INSANITY: Are you one of them?
… Could your beliefs of what ‘brings’ happiness be a facade? Could the exact things you’ve been chasing… be what’s been clogging the flow of life itself?…
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.”
A. Einstein
Ironically enough, the same man who many have said coined the above phrase has also been labeled, on several occasions, as being ‘insane’.
Growing up, Albert Einstein was the brunt of dense claims… labels that would forever limit many ‘normal’ human beings.
But have you ever really thought about the word Insane?
This will get you thinking… Someone can only be ‘insane’ if they are not aware that they are insane... Do you follow?
In other words, if one knows they are insane… that sheer awareness… negates the insanity status.
Could the Chase for Happiness be ‘Insane’?
Have you ever had a prejudged opinion of someone only to later find out, through an eye-opening change of perspective, you were undisputedly mistaken in your assumption?
What if those chain of events, that lead to your ‘change of heart’ about that person, never came?
If you were to continue believing your misguided thoughts, you would carry on believing the faulty mental concepts of the person as your reality. In fact, in your mind, the false labels you placed on the person would be just as real as the device you are using to read this post.
Now, think about the things that make you happy. I’m speaking of ‘things’ in the outer world of form.
A decent job. A nice house. Periodic vacations. A broader perspective would even include things like new goals and notable achievements.
These things make us ‘happy’ on the outside. And some would even argue that inner happiness is a natural byproduct of these fleeting events.
But do these things produce true Joy? Do they produce lasting Joy that never diminishes… or are they things you have to ‘work’ for?
In this first post of hopefully many, I don’t want to direct you. I don’t want to point you in any direction. I just want to pose a question.
Could your beliefs of what ‘brings’ happiness be a facade? Could the exact things you’ve been chasing… be what’s been clogging the flow of life itself?
If you have never considered the possibility that our ‘brainchild’ of what makes up happiness could be what has us missing the mark (Just like having a false opinion of someone) … could you be unaware… like an insane person who is unaware that they are insane?
In this blog, my hope is to uncover that mass blanket placed on us as a society. A veil, if you will, to hide true joy and have us ‘chasing’ a neverending illusion.
Remember, one is can only be INSANE if they are unaware of their condition.
Conversely, the most significant piece of this is that when those ‘things’ desired becomes secondary, the ‘rest’ of life becomes more friendly, things fall into place… and joy, when it’s found, takes no ‘work’, it can’t be ‘achieved’, and it can’t be lost.
The meer uprising of this ‘awareness’ uncovers what’s always been there.
